Host an International High School Exchange Student (Columbus, NE)

About the role

SHARE! Your Heart & Home with a high school exchange student. Host families and adults are needed to host exchange students for a school year or semester.

Responsibilities

• Attend your local high school with the exchange student
• Provide a safe and welcoming environment for the exchange student
• Help the exchange student adjust to life in your home country
• Encourage the exchange student to participate in community activities
• Ensure the exchange student has access to healthcare and emergency assistance

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years old
• Have a valid driver’s license
• Live within a reasonable distance of the exchange student’s school
• Be able to provide a safe and stable living environment
• Be willing to commit to hosting for a full school year or semester

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn about and respect different cultures
• Ability to communicate effectively in English
• Passion for making a difference in someone else’s life
