Host an International High School Exchange Student (Nicholasville, KY)

About the role

SHARE! Your Heart & Home with a high school exchange student. SHARE! students, aged 15-18 from various countries including France, Germany, Spain, China, Brazil, Poland, Italy, Mexico, Japan, and South Korea, are seeking a family to host them for a school year or semester.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and welcoming environment for the exchange student
• Attend the local high school with the exchange student
• Ensure the exchange student has access to medical care and insurance
• Support the exchange student in adjusting to a new culture and lifestyle
• Engage in cultural exchanges and activities with the exchange student

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Willingness to provide a home and support for the exchange student
• Ability to communicate effectively in English
• Availability to host the exchange student during school hours

Qualifications

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn about different cultures
• Good communication skills
• Willingness to adapt to new situations and routines
• Basic computer skills for managing the exchange program
