Host an International High School Exchange Student (Hopkinsville, KY)

About the role

SHARE! Your Heart & Home with a high school exchange student. Host families and adults are needed to host exchange students for a school year or semester.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and welcoming home environment for an international student.
• Attend orientation sessions with the exchange student.
• Ensure the exchange student attends their local high school classes.
• Support the exchange student in adjusting to life in the new country.
• Ensure the exchange student has access to medical care if needed.
• Help the exchange student with personal expenses such as transportation and entertainment.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Willingness to provide a safe and welcoming home environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Availability to host the exchange student for a full school year or semester.

Qualifications

• No specific qualifications required beyond the willingness to host an exchange student.
