Host an International High School Exchange Student (Huntsville, AL)

About the role

SHARE! Your Heart & Home with a high school exchange student. Host families and adults are needed to host exchange students for a school year or semester.

Responsibilities

• Attend your local high school with the exchange student
• Provide a safe and welcoming environment for the exchange student
• Help the exchange student adjust to life in your home country
• Ensure the exchange student has access to medical care if needed
• Support the exchange student in their studies and extracurricular activities

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years old
• Have a stable home environment
• Be able to communicate effectively in English
• Have a valid driver’s license
• Willingness to provide a safe and welcoming environment

Qualifications

• Experience living and working internationally is a plus
• Ability to adapt to new cultures and lifestyles
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Willingness to be flexible and open-minded
