Host an International High School Exchange Student (Beatrice, NE)

About the role

SHARE! Your Heart & Home with a high school exchange student. Host families and adults are needed to host exchange students for a school year or semester.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and welcoming environment for an international student
• Attend the student's local high school classes
• Help the student adjust to life in a new country
• Ensure the student has access to healthcare and emergency services
• Support the student in their academic and social development

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Willingness to provide a home and support for a student for a minimum of one school year
• Ability to communicate effectively in English
• Availability to host the student during school hours and after-school activities
• Willingness to participate in ongoing training and support provided by SHARE!

Qualifications

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn about different cultures
• Strong communication skills
• Flexibility and adaptability
• Basic computer skills (for online communication)
