Job Description
As the Hospitality Host you will be responsible for providing an excellent and seamless experience to our guests. This role combines the coverage areas of a traditional Usher, Greeter, and Bowling/Game Floor/Redemption Attendant to create a dynamic position that guides our guests through the full Hooky experience.
Job Responsibilities
- Greet all guests warmly upon arrival, creating a friendly and inviting atmosphere.
- Provide information about bowling services, arcade games, attractions, redemption, and general services.
- Respond to guest inquiries and concerns promptly.
- Follow and enforce safety protocols and guidelines for all areas of responsibility. Address any unsafe behaviors and report all incidents to management.
- Assist with the setup and management of special events and promotions.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the building: theaters, restrooms, entrance, bowling, game floor, redemption, and other areas as assigned.
- Proactively monitor and manage inventory levels for bowling supplies, the redemption counter, and prize display.
- Monitor bowling lanes and arcade machines to ensure proper functionality. Address and resolve minor technical issues and report any unresolved issues to management.
- Ensure that each guest has a valid ticket and direct them to their designated seating area.
- Assist guests with lost and found items.
- Monitor and manage guest lines, ensuring an orderly and efficient flow.
- Assist with lane assignments, shoe rentals, and scoring systems.
- Verify points accurately using the redemption system. Ensure that guests receive the correct amount of points for their purchases.
- Provide information about prize options and help guests make selections.
- Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned.
Required Skills
- Hospitality-minded attitude; friendly, outgoing, guest focused
- Able to take direction and work together as a team
- Work calmly and execute job duties effectively under pressure
- Possess basic math skills to comprehend proper handling of transactions.
Education & Experience
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- HS Diploma or GED certificate preferred
- Availability to work during holidays, nights, and weekends with increased hours during peak times
- Previous experience in customer service or a similar role is preferred
- Some locations may require Food Handler and State Alcohol Certifications
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of standing, walking, climbing stairs
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times
- Must be able to work in an environment with loud noise, flashing lights and repetitive motions.
