About the role

The Coordinator Environmental Services leads and supervises the operations and activities of the Environmental Services Department within assigned hospital and department/campus locations. This role ensures consistent, high-quality service in a sanitary environment while meeting State, Local, Federal, and Joint Commission regulations, established policies and procedures, and department standards of performance. The Coordinator evaluates existing systems and processes, initiates improvements, and makes suggestions to the Manager. They demonstrate knowledge and ensure compliance with all current policies, procedures, and regulatory standards (TJC, OSHA, EEOC, and others) within all Environmental Services areas.

The role coordinates the effective operation of all Environmental Services activities to provide an aseptic and aesthetically pleasing environment by supervising all department functions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise Environmental Services operations and activities within assigned hospital departments.
  • Ensure compliance with State, Local, Federal, and Joint Commission regulations, as well as established policies and procedures.
  • Evaluate existing systems and processes, initiate changes, and suggest improvements to the Manager.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of and ensure adherence to sound ethical business practices in accordance with the Corporate Integrity and Compliance Program and annual work plan.
  • Coordinate and supervise all functions of the Environmental Services department to maintain an aseptic and aesthetically pleasing environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma preferred.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in food services or hospitality preferred.
  • Knowledge of hospital and healthcare operations preferred.
  • Knowledge of hospital and healthcare financial metrics preferred.
