Hospitality Coordinator

The Office and Conference Services team provides extraordinary customer service to Aspen Institute staff and guests at all corporate offices. The primary goal is to support programs in fulfilling their missions through operational services including office administration, workspace experience, event services, facilities management, and tenant relations.
About the role
This position is for a detail-oriented and energetic Hospitality Assistant in our New York office. The role requires a strong customer service background, high degree of professionalism, and the ability to multi-task. Cleaning and heavy lifting are required. The position is expected to work up to 10 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Set up and break down the main conference room, including staging and moving conference room furniture and A/V equipment.
- Ensure clean office floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
- Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors, carpets, and fixtures.
- Clean glass in conference rooms and offices, including using ladders.
- Dust furniture, plants, light fixtures, and walls, sometimes requiring the use of ladders.
- Remove stains from rugs, drapes, walls, and floors using chemicals and cleaning solutions.
- Clean and vacuum carpeted areas, including spot cleaning treatment.
- Gather and empty trash throughout the office.
- Wipe and clean tabletops, chairs, and equipment in food areas.
- Maintain the janitor’s closet, ensuring equipment is neat, orderly, and in good working condition.
- Ensure compliance with Aspen Institute policy and procedure operations for office equipment.
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Requirements
- One to three years of related office experience and/or training.
- Strong customer service background, high degree of professionalism, and ability to multi-task.
- Ability to lift 50lbs to move furniture and packages.
- Evening work required.

Pay
$23 per hour.
