Hospitalist Physician

About the Role

Join a well-established team at Presbyterian Plains Regional in Clovis, New Mexico, as a Hospital Medicine Physician. This 106-bed hospital serves Eastern New Mexico and West Texas and is part of the Presbyterian System, which includes 9 hospitals in New Mexico. The team consists of 6 physicians and 1 advanced practice provider (APP), supported by a clinical performance nurse, clinical performance associate, and group coordinator. You’ll collaborate with a diverse group of professionals and maintain strong relationships with hospital leadership and other physician groups.

Responsibilities

• Manage an average census of 18 patients per doctor.
• Handle approximately 80 floor calls on average.
• No procedures required.
• Work with in-house specialists and CRNAs who manage the 7 ICU beds.
• Use EPIC as the electronic medical record (EMR).

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in family or internal medicine.
• 2027 graduates are encouraged to apply.
• J1 visa sponsorship available; in-house visa specialists provide support for licensing and credentialing. All required filing fees are covered.

Schedule

• Full-time positions follow a 7-days-on, 7-days-off rotation.
• Nocturnist shift: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
• Daytime Hospitalist shift: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

Clovis, New Mexico, is a family-friendly city in Curry County with a population of just under 50,000. Known for its rich rock and roll music, cowboy, and agricultural history, Clovis offers a low cost of living and a variety of entertainment options, including professional and youth rodeo events, music, and art festivals. It’s a short drive to Lubbock, TX, Santa Fe, NM, and Albuquerque, NM, and a quick flight to DFW and Houston.

Pay

• Day Shift Rate: $1,900 per shift.
• Night Shift Rate: $2,000 per shift.
• Daytime Hospitalist base pay: $346,750 annually.
• Nocturnist base salary: $365,000 annually.
• $50,000 sign-on bonus.
• Eligible for RVU and Quality bonuses.
