Hospitalist - Obstetrics and Gynecology

About the role

An Ob/Gyn Hospitalist position supporting a Level 3 Perinatal Center, responsible for overseeing obstetric and gynecologic care, emergency response, and hospital supervision.

Responsibilities

• Supervise care in the Obstetric Emergency Department, Labor and Delivery, and perinatal safety.
• Respond to and assist in Ob/Gyn emergencies across the hospital.
• Manage admissions from Women's Health Clinic and walk-in patients.
• Support obstetrical practices and provide emergency care until attending physicians arrive.
• Collaborate with Maternal Fetal Medicine for hospital transfers and manage consultations.
• Supervise OB/GYN residents and medical students, with potential faculty appointment.

Qualifications & Skills

• Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Clinical experience in hospital-based obstetrical and gynecologic care
• Leadership abilities
• Commitment to patient safety

Schedule

36-48 hours weekly, including 12-24 hour shifts, with flexible options such as nocturnist or part-time.
