Locums Obstetrics Gynecologist

About the role

This role involves providing inpatient and on-call obstetric care, including managing deliveries such as C-sections, VBACs, breech, and complicated cases. The position is suitable for qualified OB providers seeking flexible, well-compensated assignments.

Responsibilities

• Perform OB ultrasounds and interpret results
• Execute minor GYN procedures (e.g., IUD insertions, colposcopies, cryosurgeries)
• Manage deliveries, including low forceps delivery and laceration repair
• Respond to beeper calls within 30 minutes
• Handle an average of two phone consults, two patient visits, and one admission per 24-hour shift
• Maintain a 1:1 call ratio with a 100% callback requirement
• Provide comprehensive inpatient obstetric care for complex cases

Requirements

• Proficiency in OB ultrasound
• Experience with minor GYN procedures
• Delivery management skills, including C-sections, VBACs, and breech cases

Pay

Competitive hourly compensation ranging from $150.00 to $225.00, inclusive of base pay and additional earnings.
