Contract Details / Schedule
- Long-term contract up to 1 year with additional extension options
- Full-time and part-time opportunities available
- Night shifts (Nocturnist)
- Inpatient Hospital Medicine setting
- Critical Access Hospital
- Indian Health Service (IHS) facility
- Adult patient population
- Work under any unrestricted U.S. medical license

What You'll Do
- Provide comprehensive inpatient medical care for hospitalized patients during overnight shifts
- Perform admissions, evaluations, consultations, and daily management of acute and chronic medical conditions
- Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for adult inpatients
- Respond to overnight clinical changes and medical emergencies
- Cookordinate care with nursing staff, specialists, emergency department providers, and ancillary services
- Order, interpret, and act upon laboratory, imaging, and diagnostic testing results
- Participate in patient discharge planning and transitions of care
- Maintain accurate, timely, and complete medical documentation within the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
- Ensure compliance with facility policies, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams

Requirements
- Strong clinical, diagnostic, and decision-making skills
- Able to work in high-stress, fast-paced environments
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
- Must be a U.S. citizen residing primarily in the United States
Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Active, unrestricted U.S. medical license
- Current DEA registration
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
- Minimum of 2–3 years of recent inpatient Hospitalist experience required
- Previous Nocturnist experience strongly preferred
- Experience managing adult and pediatric inpatient populations independently
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to manage high-acuity patients
- Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
- Previous Indian Health Service (IHS), Tribal Health, Rural Health, or Critical Access Hospital experience preferred
