Hospitalist – Daytime – (56063) - Oregon

About the role

Hospitalist position in Southwest Oregon with a 7 on/7 off daytime schedule, caring for adult inpatients only (pediatrics covered by hospital pediatricians). Located in the Umpqua River Valley, approximately 1 hour 40 minutes from Medford, 1 hour 15 minutes from Eugene, and 90 minutes from the coastal towns of Bandon and Coos Bay; the area has an HPSA score of 14. Average census of 13‑15 patients per day. ICU coverage is available but not required; physicians may elect to see ICU patients or perform procedures if desired. The group uses Athena Health EMR and provides inpatient care for its 60+ provider multi‑specialty organization that also offers primary care and urgent care services.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient care for adult patients only.
• Manage daily census of approximately 13‑15 patients.
• Optionally cover ICU patients when desired.
• Optionally perform procedures if interested.
• Document encounters using Athena Health EMR.
• Collaborate with hospital pediatricians for any pediatric inpatient needs.

Requirements

• Board eligible or Board certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
• No visa sponsorship available for this position.

Skills

• Proficiency with Athena Health EMR.
• Ability to manage adult inpatient workload.
• Optional skills: ICU care and procedural competence (if desired).

Pay

• Base salary: $343,142 per year.
• WRVU bonus system paid once median productivity is achieved.

Schedule

• 7 days on / 7 days off, daytime schedule.
• Flexible start date: immediate availability or ability to wait until Summer 2026 for graduating physicians.
