About the role
This position is allocated for an ABIM certified/eligible physician trained in internal medicine and interested in hospital medicine. Hospitalist (Internal Medicine)
Responsibilities
- Collaborative hospitalists to join an inpatient team rotating at hospitals throughout the Salt Lake Valley.
- Includes a $15,000 starting bonus, relocation assistance (determined by distance), and a Value Recognition Payment up to $20,000 annually based on meeting quality goals, thoughtful stewardship of our healthcare system, and achieving high standards in performance reviews as they relate to citizenship.
- Provides direct inpatient care with the assistance of a nurse coordinator and participates in teaching service to provide clinical education to internal medicine residents and medical students.
- Eligible for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF).
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine.
- Successful completion of an ACGME Accredited US Residency Training Program.
- Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
- Experienced Hospitalists who are Family Medicine trained will be considered on a case by case basis.
- Active, unobstructed Utah medical license, or the ability to obtain one.
- Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process.
- Current BLS Certification is required before the first day of employment.

Pay
- The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
- $7.25 - $999.99
Schedule
- This is a unique opportunity to provide direct inpatient care with the assistance of a nurse coordinator and participate in our teaching service to provide clinical education to internal medicine residents and medical students.
- While this is classified as a day shift opportunity, a balance of swing and night shifts will also be necessary though the majority of nights will be staffed by Nocturnists.
