Role Overview
We are seeking an Academic Gastroenterology Hospitalist to join a growing division dedicated to patient care, education, and research. The position involves complex inpatient gastroenterology and hepatology consults within a high-acuity tertiary setting. The candidate will have the opportunity to teach fellows, residents, and students, participate in scholarly activities, and contribute to program development.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient gastroenterology and hepatology consultative care
- Assist in building and defining a growing academic GI hospitalist program
- Participate in medical education and research
- Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration within a complex clinical environment
Qualifications & Skills
- MD or DO with board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology
- Eligible for medical licensure in Texas
- Interest in academic medicine, inpatient care, and education
