Hospitalist APRN/PA-NCH Downtown (Collier County)

About the Role

Millennium Physician Group is seeking a full-time APRN/Physician Assistant Hospitalist to join the Hospitalist/Inpatient Services team at NCH Downtown in Collier County. This position follows a 7-days-on, 7-days-off schedule, working 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM Friday through Thursday.

We are looking for a positive, energetic, and well-organized team member who supports our top initiative of ensuring an excellent patient experience. Advanced providers focus on assessments to care for patients, working under the supervision of a licensed physician.

Responsibilities

• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests such as lab work and x-rays.
• Diagnose and treat both acute and chronic conditions, including diabetes, high blood pressure, infections, and injuries.
• Prescribe medications and other treatments, managing patients' overall well-being (comprehensive care).
• Consult with the supervising physician on complicated diagnoses and make treatment decisions collectively.
• Handle office overflow of patients or build your own "practice" as needed.
• Supervise a medical assistant to assist with patient care and follow-up, depending on patient load.

Requirements

• Florida APRN or PA License & Board Certification.
• Strong computer skills and knowledge of EMR systems (Athena knowledge preferred but not required).

Skills

• Ability to stand, walk, climb, and balance for extended periods.
• Occasional need to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds; occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
