Hospitalist - .5 FTE

About the role

The successful candidate will be a Board Certified MD willing to work a block schedule of 7 on/7 off, rotating between days and nights at a 25-bed critical access hospital with a 4-bed ICU.

Responsibilities

• Practice in a team consisting of 3 full-time, 3 part-time, and a per diem pool of physicians.
• Provide care in a 25-bed critical access hospital setting.
• Average daily census of 8-12 patients.
• Work in a dedicated call room.
• Utilize EPIC EMR system.

Requirements

• Certification in BLS, ACLS, or PALs required within 30 days of hire.
• Guaranteed first-year salary (based on 1.0 FTE).

• CME: up to $3,800 per calendar year for CME and/or professional dues/fees (based on 1.0 FTE; prorated for lower FTE).

Qualifications

• MD degree.
• Current license to practice medicine in Alaska.
• Experience in hospitalist care preferred.
