Hospital Transporter, PRN (Florence, SC)
About the role
The Hospital Transporter at MUSC/Florence, SC is responsible for the safe, efficient, and timely transport of patients throughout the MUSC campus while maintaining a high standard of patient care. This role also supports the movement and positioning of essential medical equipment.
Responsibilities
- Safe and efficient transport of patients throughout the MUSC campus
- Maintain a high standard of patient care
- Support the movement and positioning of essential medical equipment, including wheelchairs, oxygen tanks, beds, and related items
- Operate under general supervision
Requirements
- Strong customer service and/or patient care experience needed
- BLS or CPR certification required, must be obtained within 30 days of hire
- Minimum valid driver’s license in the State of SC
- Completion of IAHSS Basic Certification within six (6) months of hire
Qualifications
- High School Degree or Equivalent
Skills
- Handle with Care Crisis De-escalation course completion preferred

Schedule
- If scheduled on a Sunday: 8:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.
- If scheduled on other days: 10:00 a.m.–6:30 p.m.
