Employment Type:Full timeShift:Day ShiftDescription:This is an entry level storeroom clerk, unloading and distributing supplies for the hospitalPosition PurposeReceives, checks and stocks all incoming supplies. Inventories, puts up and distributes supplies, equipment, and mail throughout both Saint Francis Hospital and Mt. Sinai Rehab Hospital campuses.What you will doProperly identify and mark all patient charge items using stickers or cardsDeliver medical surgical supplies, on demand supplies and STATs as assignedKeep accurate records on all storeroom transactions for which he/she may be responsibleAccurately inventory all assigned areas and commodities to maintain established par levelsMonitor supplies in various nursing departmentsEnsure rotation of stock in all assigned departments and the storeroomTransport supplies, mail etc. between and within both facilitiesMinimum QualificationsHigh school or GED equivalent for regularly scheduled positionsOne year storeroom or related experienceMust be able to communicate in EnglishAbility to operate all appropriate material handling equipment and use, or learn to use, the department's computerized systemPosition Highlights and BenefitsFull time 40hrs Mon-Fri day shiftExcellent benefits starting day 1Ministry/Facility InformationSaint Francis Hospital is committed to exceeding the expectations of our patients and families by providing world-class service in a progressive, people-centered, compassionate health care environment.
