Hospital Service Rep
About the Role
The Hospital Service Representative (HSR) performs distribution functions during their assigned shift. Under direct supervision, this position ensures accuracy of all unit transactions and adheres to regulations and procedures governing the issuance, storage, and transportation of blood products. The HSR exemplifies and champions Carter BloodCare (CBC) Core Values and Code of Conduct, while following CBC policies and applicable departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Regular travel between assigned work areas to support other locations and projects in Texoma and North Texas is required. A valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record (as specified in the current Vehicle Safety Loss Control Guidelines) are required.
This position may require working varied shifts, extended hours, weekends, and/or overtime to support operational needs. Regular full-time attendance is required during normal working hours.
Responsibilities
- Perform distribution functions during assigned shifts.
- Ensure accuracy of all unit transactions related to blood products.
- Adhere to regulations and procedures for issuance, storage, and transportation of blood products.
- Uphold Carter BloodCare Core Values and Code of Conduct.
- Follow CBC policies and departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Attend assigned meetings and training sessions to support ongoing development and organizational goals.
- Travel regularly between assigned work areas to support other locations and projects in Texoma and North Texas.
