Hospital Security Officer

About the role

The Security Officer position helps maintain a safe and secure environment for clients by actively monitoring premises, patrolling various locations, preserving order, and enforcing site‑specific regulations and directives. Officers frequently provide customer service and information to client employees and customers, reflecting Securitas’ core values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness.

Responsibilities

• Observe and report activities and incidents at assigned client sites.
• Conduct patrols of assigned locations, including climbing stairs and walking on inclines or uneven terrain.
• Provide customer service and information to client personnel and visitors.
• Enforce regulations and directives pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.
• Perform physical duties such as frequent sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods; frequent lifting/moving up to 10 lb and occasional lifting/moving up to 25 lb.

Requirements

• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to complete patrols.
• Strong technology skills (cell phone/computer).
• Prior security experience is a plus (no experience required; training provided).
• Must pass a drug screen and background check.
• Must meet applicable state, county, and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers/Guards.
• Retail, food service, or hospitality background is a plus; training provided for newcomers.
