As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a hospital setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to patients, visitors, and staff. What You'll Do

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and guests by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, surrounding grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
  • Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, directing individuals to appropriate locations while supporting site access procedures.
  • Document patrols, incidents, and observations accurately and promptly, communicating relevant information to site leadership and emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
