HOSPITAL POLICE SERGEANT

Duties

• Supervise and direct the activities of hospital police officers.
• Investigate criminal offenses and conduct investigations as necessary.
• Respond to emergency situations and provide immediate assistance.
• Conduct patrols and maintain order within the hospital grounds.
• Handle complaints from patients, visitors, and staff.
• Prepare reports and maintain records related to police activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a law enforcement academy program.
• Minimum of 2 years of law enforcement experience.
• Valid California Driver’s License.
• Ability to pass a background check and physical fitness test.

Qualifications

• Experience in a supervisory capacity preferred.
• Knowledge of state and federal laws relevant to law enforcement.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.

Pay

$6,403.00 - $8,452.00 New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable.
