Hospital Operations Manager

Manage the daily operation of a hospital-based Asset360 program, including customer relationships and employee supervision. Maximize equipment utilization, inventory, and supplies while participating in revenue growth activities to achieve short- and medium-term financial and operating objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively manage the customer on-site service program (Asset360) and provide leadership to on-site employees to ensure business objectives are met.
  • Partner with internal teams on customer meetings to promote revenue growth, cost containment, and expansion of services.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of medical equipment and conduct training for company and customer staff.
  • Manage equipment inventory and par levels consistent with contract terms, pricing, and policies.
  • Address missing and lost equipment, accessories, and software upgrades.
  • Perform audits and periodic internal reviews to ensure proper business management practices.
  • Comply with patient privacy laws in all matters.
  • Participate in hospital committees (e.g., Infection Control, Quality Control, Product Evaluation, Safety and Security).
  • Integrate hospital protocols and processes into daily activities.
  • Operate with a proactive approach toward safety, health, and quality in compliance with all company, governmental, and customer policies.
  • Recruit, train, and develop employees, emphasizing continuous improvement and teamwork.
  • Promote communication among team members to create visibility for internal staff and the customer.
  • Make sound and timely decisions.
  • Develop staffing and on-call schedules based on demand.
  • Hold self and staff accountable for completion of assignments.
  • Use effective conflict resolution skills to address customer and staff concerns.
  • Ensure accurate documentation for billing and regulatory compliance.
  • Understand billing for account invoices and assist with accounts receivable collections.

Operations Manager II – Additional Responsibilities

  • Manage an Asset360 program(s) that is a Tier 1 program based on revenue size, complexity, and staffing demands.
  • Train, mentor, and onboard new Hospital Operations Managers.
  • Serve as part of the training team for other division/region members.
  • Manage multiple sites and use customer-facing skills to expand relationships.
  • Initiate solution-oriented discussions with customers.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on Asset360, medical equipment, and office policies.
  • Participate in new Asset360 implementations.
  • Demonstrate superior understanding of service offerings and contractual obligations.
  • Exhibit excellent presentation skills for customer reviews and in-servicing.
  • Initiate and implement continuous improvement efforts in office and account management.
  • Demonstrate sales aptitude and identify opportunities for territory planning.

Operations Manager III – Additional Responsibilities

  • Lead teams of leaders.
  • Travel across a multistate territory to accounts.
  • Report directly to the Divisional Operations Director.
  • Ensure contractual compliance and standardize all programs in the division to processes.
  • Develop high, wide, and deep client relationships.
  • Work with key sales representatives to grow new business segments.
  • Establish an account maturity index.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • 5 years of supervision/management experience and customer excellence experience.
  • Prior work experience in a hospital setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of the healthcare industry; understanding of hospital medical equipment is preferred.
  • Business and financial management expertise to assist with contract management and account margin maintenance.

Skills & Abilities

  • Effectively build credibility and trust with customer administration, clinicians, and staff.
  • Quality orientation with a “get it right the first time” attitude.
  • Understanding of Profit and Loss (P&L) statements and customer profitability reports.
  • Experience working in a time-critical environment.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, nights, and emergency off-hours as required.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Able to lift and/or push 75 pounds.
  • Able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills (listening, writing, and speaking).
  • Proactive and self-motivated.
  • Team-oriented and respectful of others.
  • Organized; prioritizes to meet deadlines.
  • Responds positively to challenges and targets.
  • Remains calm and self-controlled in the face of ambiguity and change.

Pay

$67,854.07 - $108,566.51 (range based on market locations and experience).
