Hospital Medicine Physician

About the role

We are seeking a hospitalist and a nocturnist to join our team at Hartford Healthcare Manchester Memorial Hospital. Our team is made up of 8 physicians and 2 advanced practice providers (APPs) who work closely together to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver rounds, admissions, discharges, and daily multidisciplinary rounds.
• Handle admissions from the Emergency Department and cross coverage.
• Engage in geographic rounding whenever possible.
• Work in partnership with nurses, specialists, and case managers to ensure coordinated, efficient care.
• Lead with intention, owning your role in shaping hospital strategy, mentoring peers, and driving performance across key metrics like length of stay, readmissions, and patient satisfaction.

Requirements

• Board-certified or board-eligible internal medicine or family medicine.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

• Experience in hospital medicine preferred.
• Strong clinical skills and ability to manage complex cases.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay

• Day Hospitalist: 7 shifts/month, 7 am to 7 pm.
• Nocturnist: Full-time, 7 p.m. - 7 a.m., 7 on / 7 off.
