Qualifications

• Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
• Board certified/eligible in family or internal medicine
• Active medical license or eligible to become licensed in Indiana
• We welcome interest from physicians coming out of training or desiring a career change

Scheduling

We have both day and night positions with an array of flexible scheduling options.

Key Responsibilities

• Day Hospitalists Round on patients as well as do admissions
• Our model is 2 Hospitalists along with an APP working as a team
• We do not perform procedures, but we do run codes and raps
• You will be admitting to the ICU but do consult with an intensivist
• We also have specialty support that can be at the hospital within minutes if necessary
• We work with Epic as our EMR system and would be cross-credentialed at our sister location in Merrillville

Located just 12 miles from each other, it is easy to work between both locations. Northwest Indiana is a great locale on Lake Michigan’s southern shore with its cities and towns offering a diverse range of lifestyles, with convenient access via train to downtown Chicago. The area offers a variety of housing, educational, and recreation opportunities along with a multitude of public and private schools.
