Hospital Medicine – Nocturnist Physician
About the Role
Hospitalist position at a 200-bed hospital with an 18-bed open ICU. Hospitalists respond to rapid response team (RRT) calls for their patients and manage ICU admissions as the primary physician, with 24/7 intensivist availability. No procedures are required.
- Average daily census: 85
- Average overnight admits: 7-8
- All specialties available except hepatology
- EMR: Epic
Responsibilities
- Respond to RRT calls for assigned patients
- Manage ICU admissions as the primary physician (intensivists available 24/7 for support)
- Oversee patient care in collaboration with hospitalists and specialists
Schedule
- Day shift: 5 physicians (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
- Night shift: 1 physician (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) + 1 NPPA
