Job Responsibilities
- Mentor the staff and oversee the business operations and maintenance of the facility
- Achieve efficient and profitable hospital operations
- Formulate objectives and policies to ensure hospital operations
- Hire, review, discipline, and terminate professional staff
- Review the P&L report monthly and work with the Hospital Medical Director to increase revenue and limit expenses
- Prepare and submit the yearly budget and participate in the evaluation process
- Model an “owner” mentality in hospital by assisting all employees in making the practice a success
- Minimize patient stress and discomfort
- Recommend referrals to other VCA doctors or specialists
- Administer and case review client medical complaints
- Represent the hospital and VCA in the professional community and to the general public
Qualifications
- 2 to 3 years of customer service and financial budget management experience
- Knowledge of sales and marketing techniques
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to make decisions, delegate responsibility, and achieve results with hospital team members
- Professional comportment and appearance, with excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly, positive attitude
- Respect for and willingness to work with clients and their pets
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and deal with changing priorities

Pay
The annualized base salary for this position typically ranges from $80,200 to $90,000 based on experience and credentials.
