Hospital Lab Technician III- Corelab Irvine- FT Variable Shift
About the role
The HLT III performs a full range of duties from specimen procurement/phlebotomy, specimen and/or blood component processing and handling. This includes performing a wide variety of repetitive technical procedures and standardized tests according to established protocols. Perform all duties in a manner consistent with current laboratory safety standards. Assist in preparing/ maintaining compliance as established by regulating agencies such as CAP, TJC, OSHA and other federal and state agencies.
Responsibilities
- Perform specimen procurement/phlebotomy
- Perform specimen and/or blood component processing and handling
- Perform a wide variety of repetitive technical procedures and standardized tests according to established protocols
- Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies such as CAP, TJC, OSHA and other federal and state agencies
- Prepare/ Maintain compliance as established by regulating agencies
- Assist in inventory and ordering of supplies
- Aid in clerical, telephone, and communication tasks with laboratory customers
Requirements
- State of California Phlebotomy License (Certified Phlebotomy Tech I)
- At least 2 years of Phlebotomy experience
- Willingness to provide weekend and holiday coverage on a rotational basis and variable shift assignment(s) as needed
Qualifications
- Must possess the skill, knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of assigned duties

- Good computer skills including knowledge of various software applications
