About the role
The Hospital Equipment Coordinator performs timely and cost-effective inspections, preventive and corrective maintenance, and minor repairs on company and customer-owned medical equipment within a hospital. This role ensures accurate and thorough documentation of all equipment records.
Responsibilities
- Perform equipment inspections, maintenance, and calibration on managed equipment.
- Dialogue with clinical staff on equipment features and functionality.
- Use effective conflict resolution skills to address service concerns, discrepancies, and disagreements.
- Provide prompt and courteous service to all customers in person and in communications.
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of medical equipment, including names, appearances, and accessory lists.
- Manage missing and lost equipment, software upgrades, and accessories.
- Conduct training for staff on testing and inspecting medical equipment.
- Discuss equipment features and functionality with hospital staff.
- Deliver a quality product by meeting quality indicator standards and achieve productivity objectives.
- Maintain accurate and adequate equipment inventory.
- Document equipment reported as non-functional and ensure compliance with company and customer policies.
- Complete all documentation, paperwork, and computer data entry accurately and in a timely manner for regulatory compliance.
- Demonstrate sound and timely decision-making skills.
- Perform other assigned duties.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in an Applied Science (electronics or biomedical equipment technology preferred) or equivalent military training.
- Healthcare industry, medical equipment, or customer excellence experience preferred.
- Demonstrated competency in equipment preventive maintenance and repair practices.
- Knowledge of the set-up and application of test equipment (e.g., electrical safety analyzer).
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office programs (Word and Excel).
- Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergency off-hours as required.
- Able to lift and/or push 75 pounds.
- Able to stand and walk for long periods of time.

Pay
Pay range: $20.35 - $32.16 per hour. The actual pay offered may vary depending on factors including geographic location, experience, job-related knowledge, and skills.
Vaccination may be required, including COVID-19, based on customer and/or company requirements. Agiliti will provide specific directions and cover the expense at a participating clinic.
