Hospital Chaplain - IRP

About the role

The Internal Resource Pool (IRP) Chaplain is responsible for the delivery of pastoral care to patients, their loved ones, and as appropriate, staff. The chaplain ensures that religious and spiritual needs of patients and their loved ones are met in assigned areas and reports to the Director of Pastoral Care.

Responsibilities

• Provide pastoral care to patients, their loved ones, and staff as needed.
• Ensure religious and spiritual needs are met in assigned areas.
• Be available for coverage as needed, which may include nights, weekends, and as staffing needs arise.
• Report to the Director of Pastoral Care.

Qualifications

• College degree.
• Master's level theological degree or equivalent.
• Clinical training in chaplaincy (at least one unit of ACPE Clinical Pastoral Education).
• Ordination or commissioning for ministry by a recognized religious group.
• Current endorsement for chaplaincy by a recognized religious group.

Schedule

The position requires availability as needed, which may include nights, weekends, and as staffing needs arise.
