Hospital Cardiology Nurse Navigator

About the role

This role serves as a key member of the hospital-based cardiology team, coordinating daily clinical operations to ensure timely, high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the daily inpatient cardiology census and provider assignments
• Coordinate inpatient and outpatient cardiovascular procedures
• Manage consults
• Facilitate communication between providers and hospital staff
• Enter physician-directed orders
• Schedule follow-up care
• Support patient transfers and transitions of care

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing and three (3) years of clinical experience in Cardiology OR Associate Degree in Nursing with five (5) years of clinical experience in Cardiology
• Registered Nurse license in the state of Georgia
• Working knowledge of service line and strong foundation in patient support programs
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public
• Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
• Self-motivated with independent work skills
• Professional written and verbal communication skills
• Detailed and results-oriented individual
• Strong interpersonal skills

Schedule

3-12 hr shifts, days vary with some weekend requirements
