Job Description
Schedules: Flexible dayshift approximately 8am to 4:30pm but earlier start time when needed.
Location: 601 E Rollins Street, Orlando, FL 32803
About the Role
Develops, plans, and implements evidence-based measures to improve the quality of care for electrophysiology and cardiovascular patients, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Supports and assists with data collection for process and quality improvement, understanding department performance trends and standards.
- Informs and seeks assistance from the Manager and Director when confronted with unfamiliar procedures and techniques to ensure safe and effective patient care.
- Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Acts as a liaison to physicians' offices regarding proper orders, medical records, consents, and other required documentation for scheduling procedures.
- Maintains professional relationships with all customers and completes assigned work comprehensively and in a timely manner.
- Facilitates timely scheduling with coordinators, supervisors, physicians, and patients.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to read, write and explain moderately complex information to hospital staff
- Ability to communicate effectively in a supportive manner to patients, family, staff and physicians
- Ability to explain information to patients and families in a way the patient understands, and/or explain departmental or hospital procedures to employees, visitors and patients
- Ability to observe assess, guide and evaluate others
- Ability to communicate timely and in an open and honest manner
- Ability to collect data, interpret findings, set priorities and carry out established plans
- Flexibility in prioritization; ability to multitask; critical thinking/problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently and in a group setting
- Strong organizational skills
- Computer skills such as Microsoft Word, Access, Excel and Outlook
- Knowledge of PACS, Heart lab, Apollo and associated systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's of Nursing
- Master's (Preferred)
- Field Of Study: N/A
- Work Experience: 1+ years in cardiac care (Required), Previous leadership (Preferred)
Skills
- Knowledge of PACS, Heart lab, Apollo and associated systems (Preferred)
- Registered Nurse (RN) (Required)
- Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) (Required)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) (Required)
