Hospital Administrator
Why does the job exist?
The position to direct the management and function of a 40-bed medical withdrawal & social rehabilitation inpatient specialty hospital with an array of outpatient continuum of care services for adults with substance abuse problems.
How does it get done?
This job is done through conducting consistent supervision and support of leadership team members and all Turquoise Lodge Hospital staff, effective communication with entire facility staff, participation in DOH and/or Administrator meetings, and participation in community partnership collaborations when appropriate.
Who are the customers?
This job is done for New Mexico residents who suffer from substance abuse dependence and on behalf of the Department of Health.
Ideal Candidate Experience
- administering care for adults with substance abuse problems
- managing a health care facility
- maintaining accreditation standards
Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and eight (8) years of management experience as it pertains to the essential duties of the classification
- May require licensure as Nursing Home Administrator
- Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling twelve (12) years may substitute for the required education and experience
Employment Requirements
- Pre-employment background investigation is required and is conditional pending results
- Working Conditions: Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT), extensive personal computer and phone usage. Minimal statewide travel may be required
