About the Role

At Heartstrings Pet Hospice, we provide gentle hospice and in-home euthanasia care to families in the comfort of their homes. As a Compassionate Veterinarian, you will practice medicine that matters without the pace and pressure of a traditional clinic, spending time sitting on living room floors, answering hard questions with kindness, and helping families say goodbye with dignity and peace. You will work independently on the road with the support of a team that invests in your training, growth, and well‑being, offering thoughtful onboarding, one‑on‑one mentorship, and experienced colleagues just a phone call away.

Responsibilities

• Provide gentle hospice and in-home euthanasia care to pets and their families
• Spend quality time with families, sitting on living room floors and answering difficult questions with kindness
• Help families say goodbye with dignity and peace, honoring each pet’s story
• Practice independently on the road while maintaining team support
• Manage appointments to avoid double‑booking and rushing goodbyes
• Participate in ongoing training, mentorship, and team collaboration

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS)
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 90 lbs with assistance
• Ability to choose 4 weekend days per month that fit your schedule
• Willingness to complete license verification, background check, and driving record review before start date
