Hospice Scheduling & Clinical Operations Coordinator
About the role
Hospice of the North Coast hires passionate individuals eager to join our agency's mission: to deliver compassionate, personalized care to patients and their families during end-of-life transitions. We seek compassionate clinicians and administrative staff who take pride in serving as advocates for each patient and who are fulfilled by being part of a very intimate stage of life.
The Hospice Scheduling & Clinical Operations Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and managing patient visit scheduling needs that fall outside of the primary RN case manager schedule. This position plays a key role in supporting the clinical team by ensuring timely nursing visits, assisting with staffing coverage, monitoring patient acuity, and helping maintain compliance with Medicare hospice regulations.
The Scheduling & Clinical Operations Coordinator reviews daily and weekend call logs, coordinates follow-up care needs, schedules urgent and PRN nursing visits, and assists Clinical Managers with daily staffing adjustments due to call-outs, Paid Time Off (PTO), or changing patient needs. This position serves as a central point of communication between clinical staff, management, intake, and other departments to help ensure patients receive the right care at the right time.
This position is based in our Carlsbad office. Any future workplace flexibility is at the discretion of Hospice of the North Coast and based on business needs (evaluated after 90 days).
