Hospice Massage Therapist

Responsibilities

• Provide massage therapy to terminally ill adult patients, focusing on relaxation, pain management, and physical comfort
• Develop and implement individualized massage therapy plans that align with patient goals and priorities
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients to identify treatment needs and potential contraindications
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care, including treatment plans, progress notes, and communication with healthcare teams
• Participate in ongoing education, training, and professional development to stay current with industry best practices and advancements in massage therapy

Requirements

• Minimum Years of Experience: 1 years
• Level of Education: A state license (LMT/CMT), graduation from an accredited program and specialized training in end-of-life care, palliative care, or oncology massage
