Hospice LPN
About the role
BJC Home Care is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide direct patient care activities including IV management, utilizing the nursing process, under the supervision of the RN. The role involves implementing treatments and procedures within the scope of practice, providing patient teaching and discharge planning, participating in professional development, and assisting in developing and updating the plan of care.
Responsibilities
- Implements treatments and procedures within the scope of practice for the Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, provides patient teaching and discharge planning.
- Participates in professional development and lifelong learning.
- Performs patient assessment and evaluation with regard to the patient’s age and developmental needs.
- Affirms plan of care with regard to the patient’s age and developmental needs.
Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma or GED.
- Nursing Experience: No Experience.
- Licenses & Certifications: Valid Driver's License, LPN - IV Cert.
Qualifications
- No Supervisor Experience Required.
Skills
Preferred Qualifications include experience in hospice care, familiarity with end-of-life care, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
