About the role
Includes weekend (every other) and holiday (3/year) rotations. No mandatory weekends or holidays.
Responsibilities
- Assist with activities of daily living, including ambulation, changing position, and moving to/from sitting and standing.
- Help with bathroom functions like toileting and incontinence care.
- Help bathe, shower, dress, provide oral care, and groom.
- Assist with eating and drinking.
- Perform post mortem care.
- Obtain vital signs.
- Assist with treatments.
- Anticipate and respond to patient needs and round on patients.
- Provide homemaker assistance, performing light housekeeping such as changing linens, doing laundry, tidying room, and removing trash.
- Deliver patient supplies and food and beverages.
- Read, understand, and follow the plan of care.
- Document care and changes in patient condition in the electronic health record.
- Document and report significant changes in condition or unusual incidents to appropriate interdisciplinary team members.
- Reinforce patient and family education.
- Participate in meetings to plan and evaluate patient/family services.
- Precept new staff and students.
- Delegate tasks to volunteers as appropriate.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Graduation from an accredited Certified Nursing Assistant program.
- Current, unrestricted Nursing Assistant Certification in state of employment.
- One-year personal care experience, hospice, or home health, preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Basic Microsoft Office skills.
- Experience using electronic health records.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality about patients, families, caregivers, staff, donors, and organizational intellectual property.
- Ability to use proper body mechanics, safe patient handling, and standard precautions.
Qualifications

Pay
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
AM Shift, Weekdays, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
