Hospice Inpatient Unit CNA - NOC/3rd Shift (Madison IPU)

About the role

Includes weekend (every other) and holiday (3/year) rotations. No mandatory low ratios; 6-8:1 sign-on bonus: $3,000.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Patients with Activities of Daily Living
  • Ambulate, change positions, move to/from sitting and standing
  • Toileting and incontinence care
  • Bathing, showering, dressing, oral care, grooming
  • Eating and drinking assistance
  • Perform post-mortem care
  • Obtain vital signs
  • Assist with treatments
  • Round on patients
  • Provide homemaker assistance
  • Light housekeeping such as changing linens, doing laundry, tidying room, and removing trash
  • Deliver patient supplies and food/beverages
  • Read, understand, and follow the plan of care
  • Document care and changes in patient condition in electronic health record
  • Report significant changes in condition or unusual incidents to appropriate team members
  • Reinforce patient and family education

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Graduation from an accredited Certified Nursing Assistant program
  • Current, unrestricted Nursing Assistant Certification in state of employment
  • One-year personal care experience, hospice, or home health, preferred
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills
  • Experience using electronic health records
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Use proper body mechanics, safe patient handling, and standard precautions

Qualifications
