About the role

This position develops and maintains a spiritual care program for the terminal patient and family/caregiver under the direction of the Administrator/Director of Hospice.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a spiritual care program for the terminal patient and family/caregiver.
• Meet all job & physical requirements as outlined in job description or through a workplace accommodation.

Requirements

• Education/Training/Experience:
  • Degree in Pastoral Education, Divinity or Theology, or ordination, license, or specific chaplaincy training with faith community sanctions.
  • Two units of clinical pastoral education preferred.
  • Two years of pastoral experience as clergy or chaplain.
  • Previous home care experience preferred.
• Certifications/Licenses:
  • Current CPR certification required.
  • Valid CA driver’s license and an automobile, with current registration and insurance, for field work required.
  • Certification in a national chaplain’s organization preferred.
  • MAB is required to be completed on the first day of work. (Grandfathered: existing employees must complete new requirements by 6/9/2025.)
