Hospice After Hours Registered Nurse (RN) Talent Pool

About the role

Provide compassionate, skilled hospice care while enjoying a truly predictable schedule that supports your life outside of work. As a Hospice After Hours Registered Nurse, you'll deliver skilled nursing care and emotional support to patients and families during the overnight hours, responding to urgent needs in the moments they need it most while helping ensure comfort, dignity, and peace at end of life.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage urgent symptoms
• Provide skilled nursing interventions
• Serve as a steady, reassuring presence during some of life's most vulnerable hours
• Coordinate closely with physicians and the hospice team to ensure continuity of care

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate or Baccalaureate School of Nursing
• Current State License as a Registered Nurse
• Minimum 1 year experience as a nurse in a clinical care setting
• Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and valid automobile insurance coverage
• Ability to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Hospice or home health experience
• Previous after-hours or on-call experience

Skills

• Demonstrates clinical nursing competencies in accordance with accepted standards of practice
• Able to assess and respond appropriately to the physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs of patients, families, and caregivers in a variety of care settings, including homes and facilities
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, emotional resilience, and the ability to support patients and families facing end-of-life issues
• Capable of managing multiple priorities, documentation requirements, and time-sensitive responsibilities efficiently
