Registered Nurse - Intermediate/Med-Surg Float Pool

About the Role

As a Float Pool RN, you will deliver exceptional Intermediate/Med-Surg nursing care across multiple clinical settings, supporting staffing needs and ensuring patient safety and quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality care across various units and patient populations.
• Integrate quickly with new care teams and stabilize units during staffing gaps.
• Perform assessments, administer medications, and respond to patient condition changes.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams for coordinated care.
• Model best practices, support system adoption, and mentor staff to uphold nursing standards.
• Ensure consistent, high-quality care aligned with organizational mission.

Requirements

• Associate Degree required; BSN preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in Med Surg, Tele, Critical Care, ED, or Women's units.
• Current compact licensure.
• Specialized training within 3 months of hire.
• Effective communication, critical thinking, computer literacy, and conflict resolution skills.
• Must complete Cardiac dysrhythmia and NIH Stroke Scale certifications within 3 months.

Preferred Qualifications

• Specialty certification within two years.
