Hose Technician

About the Role

Responsible for assembling hydraulic hoses to meet customer requirements, preparing shipments, receiving and verifying items against receiving documents. Rearranges and takes inventory of materials, keeps warehouse clean, and verifies the quality of hose assemblies.

Responsibilities

  • Assist walk-in customers with product needs through identification, technical support, and order processing.
  • Process customer orders and quotes for various products and value-added services via email or phone inquiries.
  • Answer delivery inquiries, follow up on purchasing and receiving of specific products, check stock availability, back-order status, vendor schedules, and shipping dates.
  • Load and unload material on or from trucks or other vehicles.
  • Prepare bill of lading and shipping documents.
  • Maintain a clean warehouse.
  • Resolve customer complaints.
  • Operate forklifts and other lifting devices.
  • Pick up and/or make local deliveries.
  • Cut and clean hoses.
  • Assemble and crimp hoses, utilizing calibrated measurement tools to inspect hose assemblies.
  • Prepare assembled products for shipment to customers.
  • Maintain non-conforming log and materials.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) required.
  • 1+ years of related experience.
  • Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record.

  • Ability to identify and correct conditions affecting employee safety.

Certificates & Licenses

  • HH Forklift Certification preferred.
