Horticulture Crew Supervisor

Job Overview

The Site Supervisor is responsible for leading and managing a team of assistants, foremen, and crews, ensuring high standards of landscape and horticultural care while exceeding client expectations.

Responsibilities

• Train, recruit, mentor, and develop assistant supervisors, foremen, and crew members.
• Meet with crew and foremen daily to coordinate daily tasks, work, and materials.
• Ensure procedures are followed for maintenance and protection of all company assets.
• Affirmatively schedule jobs for maximum efficiency and client service.
• Manage all work orders and ensure accurate and timely completion and workflow.
• Complete and check various documents for accuracy, including blue sheets, work orders, packing slips, route boards, new hire lists, flower sheets, attendance logs, etc.
• Locate, acquire, and deliver high-quality landscape plants and materials as needed.
• Achieve certifications and continue education in relevant horticultural areas.
• Communicate regularly with team members about property needs, meetings, schedules, jobs, etc.
• Assess opportunities to enhance/improve gardens and landscape maintenance at client properties.
• Consistently communicate with clients to meet their needs and exceed expectations.
• Inspect client properties at least once a month and contact clients after each site visit.
• Prepare and submit all necessary information for purchase orders and proposals.
• Install the highest quality design/build projects with close client contact and contract implementation.
• Ensure customer satisfaction and profitability while delivering projects of the highest caliber.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of related installation supervisor experience.
• Show willingness and capability to continue education through workshops, classes, and collaboration.
• Experience managing a crew consisting of laborers providing landscaping or related services.
• Clean driving record.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Bilingual Spanish a plus.
