About the role
The Housing Manager at Christian Care Hopkinsville is responsible for overseeing the management and operations of assigned independent living facilities. This includes resident care and recreation services, plant operations, and property management. The role also involves ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory bodies such as HUD, LIHTC, NSPIRE, etc.
- Implement approaches to enhance resident independence and satisfaction.
- Ensure accurate and complete records of all functions within the span of authority.
- Develop and maintain accurate data on the needs of the facility and its residents.
- Oversee transportation for residents.
- Respond to emergencies and attend social programs for residents.
- Address the needs and concerns of residents, family members, visitors, and the Resident Council.
- Manage all financial matters of the facility, including participating in the development and maintenance of the operating budget.
- Maintain systems and controls to safeguard the facility's cash and assets, and produce reliable and accurate information.
- Administer human resource functions including recruitment, hiring, training, conflict resolution, and termination.
- Supervise employees, ensure adequate staffing, and maintain consistency in service delivery.
- Administer a Safety Program to ensure compliance with safety regulations and building maintenance.
- Participate in marketing activities to maintain high occupancy rates.
- Assist with maintenance and repair of facility operations, including performing light routine maintenance.
- Review deficiencies and develop plans of correction.
- Administer and participate in employee assistance programs and wellness initiatives.
Qualifications
- Required Education: Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university or equivalent 4 years’ education/training and/or experience in property management.
- Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree in health services administration, business administration, or a health-related field.
- Required Experience: 5 years’ management experience.
- Preferred Experience: 1 year experience in rental property and/or senior housing management.
- Required License and/or Certification: HUD Property Recognized certification as Property Manager and/or Occupational Specialist.
