Hood Cleaning Technician

Job Responsibilities

• Clean and degrease commercial kitchen exhaust systems, including hoods, ducts, fans, and filters
• Inspect kitchen fire suppression systems for visible issues and report deficiencies to management
• Protect customer property by properly covering equipment and maintaining clean work areas
• Operate pressure washers, steam cleaners, chemicals, and hand tools safely and effectively
• Install access panels as needed to complete cleanings
• Complete before-and-after photo documentation of work performed
• Complete service reports and required compliance paperwork accurately
• Follow all OSHA, NFPA 96, and company safety guidelines
• Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in good working condition
• Communicate professionally with customers and team members
• Work overnight, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as required

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 2 years of experience in commercial kitchen exhaust cleaning or related field
• Knowledge of NFPA 96 and OSHA regulations
• Ability to operate pressure washers, steam cleaners, and other cleaning equipment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
