Full-time, hourly, non-exempt position traveling to homes and facilities within a 30-mile radius of our Asheboro office.
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (40 hours per week).
Responsibilities
- Follows the nurse aide care plan to provide compassionate care in personal hygiene, elimination, feeding, and mobility.
- Reports changes in patient’s condition, concerns about patient and/or family to appropriate nursing staff in a timely fashion and participates in interdisciplinary team conferences as necessary.
- Works collaboratively with the IDG and other departments in achieving patient care goals.
- Documents patient care according to agency policy and procedures; documentation is clear, complete, concise, and timely.
- Professionally manages time, people, medical supplies, and technology.
- Establishes and adheres to a timeframe for patient visits in coordination with patients, families, and facility staff members.
- Maintains a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for the patient.
- Teaches and/or reinforces home safety, energy conservation, and sanitation.
- Provides light housekeeping tasks.
- Assists with, or provides, meal preparation and related tasks.
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills and creates successful interpersonal relationships with patients and families.
- Complies with organizational nurse aide standards.
- Participates in staff training and education programs.
- Averages 4–6 visits per day.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a nurse aide (CNA).
- Current CNA certification.
- Valid auto liability insurance and driver’s license.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs.
- Ability to maintain composure in challenging situations (e.g., dealing with bodily fluids, grieving family).
