Home Visits Optical Assistant

About the role

As a Home Visits Optical Assistant at Specsavers, you’ll ensure the delivery of a high-quality professional service to patients in their own homes and in some care home settings. You will make sure every customer has a great experience. On a daily basis you will be carrying out clinics as well as delivering glasses to patients, so you must be able to work on your own initiative and be confident when dealing with customers.

You will cover 2 postcode areas in East London – E and IG. Due to travel time in these areas, our preferred candidate will be based within one of these postcodes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a high-quality professional optical service to patients in their homes and care homes
• Carry out clinics and deliver glasses to patients
• Work on your own initiative and confidently interact with customers
• Dispense at all levels, measure, and fit glasses

Requirements

• Current or recent optical experience (at least 6 months to 1 year)
• Ability to confidently dispense at all levels, measure, and fit glasses
• Full UK driving licence and confident driving skills
• Enthusiastic, kind, and friendly demeanour
• Highly motivated, reliable, and a real people person
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative

Desirable Skills

• Previous experience in a fast-paced customer-facing environment
• Confidence using new systems, tablets, and/or laptops

• Salary: £26,852 - £28,000 per annum dependent on experience

Schedule

Full-time – Monday to Friday, 9am-6pm (flexibility required).
