How You Will Make An Impact

We are seeking a dynamic individual for the A Family Place Relief Nursery Therapeutic Early Childhood program. The ideal candidate will be mission-driven, sensitive, and respectful of all people, with a desire to make a difference for children, families, and communities served by LCS Northwest.

Requirements

The Bilingual Teacher Interventionist/Home Visitor position is a dual role of Therapeutic Early Childhood Classroom Teacher Interventionist and Home Visitor who supports highly stressed families with children aged 5 and younger. This position requires:

  • Able to read, write, and speak fluently in both English and Spanish.
  • Experience in working with or providing services to children and families.
  • Knowledge of infant and child development.
  • Infant Mental Health endorsement preferred.
  • Knowledge of, and ability to work with social service agencies, schools, and other agencies regarding referrals and treatment continuity.
  • Strict adherence to HIPAA standards in the office workspace to ensure confidentiality.
  • Ability to obtain current pediatric CPR & First Aid, Oregon Food Handler’s Card, Annual Mandatory Reporter/Child Abuse, and Neglect training within the first 6 months of hire.
  • Current clearance from the Central Background Registry or the ability to obtain CBR clearance.
  • Current driver’s license, car insurance, and access to a vehicle.

Qualifications

Required qualifications include:

  • Associate’s degree in early Childhood Education, Education, special Education, Psychology, Social Work, or another related field.
  • At least two years of expertise/experience in an early childhood program working with children and families, including home visitation and/or parenting education, or equivalent college coursework.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English is required.
